Led by licensed therapist and movement facilitator Larissa Humiston, this experience blends mindfulness, emotional awareness, and improvisational movement in a supportive, judgment-free environment. No dance experience is necessary—just a willingness to explore. Class is FREE but registration is required.

We’re excited to welcome Dalouge Smith, Founder and Executive Director of Creating Abundance Collaborative and a nationally recognized expert on the intersection of youth arts programs and positive mental health. Dalouge will deliver a powerful keynote exploring how the arts support kids' emotional regulation and sense of belonging.
This interactive presentation invites the audience to reflect on personal experience and knowledge as the starting point for understanding how song, dance and all the arts contribute to young people's positive mental health. By drawing upon findings from brain research and adolescent development science, the session will explore how the arts already support emotional regulation and social cohesion, and steps for making these reenforcing activities more universally available.
This is an event for the entire family! Counselors from WPHF’s CHILL program will be on hand to lead our youngest attendees through fun and engaging mental wellness activities, while an inspiring panel discussion dives deeper into the impact of arts programs right here in our community.
The evening, which is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation and the Pabst Steinmetz Foundation, will also feature special performances from young local artists.
Our Founder and Artistic Director, Larissa Humiston, MSW, LCSW, will speak on a panel exploring how song, dance, and the arts contribute to positive mental health in young people. Registration is appreciated.
