Courteney Coad

Courteney Coad started dancing at age 3 at The Dancer’s Pointe. She competed for six years in the Dance America national dance competition with her studio’s company, Pointe Of Impact. She recieved first and second place national awards in New York City, Las Vegas, and Disney World. She attended Dr. Phillip’s High School graduating from the theatre magnet where she concentrated on musical theatre performance and choreography under the direction of Karen J. Rugerio. From 2008 to 2009 she was a member of Emotion’s Dance Company where she explored her passion for contemporary dance. From 2009 to early 2011 she grew as an improv artist as a member of Nao Dance where she experimented with improvisational technique under the direction of Linda Eve Elchak. She is currently a dance major at Valencia Community College studying classical ballet and modern technique under Dr. Suzanne Salapa. She is proud to say her most recent accomplishment is breaking a Guinness World Record in Most Dancer’s En Pointe. 245 dancers joined together to remain en pointe for one minute at the Orange County Convention Center.
